Jonathan Monument - Adaline (Official Music Video)

This is a music video that I directed for Jonathan Monument, a rock band based out of Reading, PA. The location was at my friend Leonard Schecter's business, Found Objects of Industry, He specializes in selling old industrial appliances and other odds and ends that are scattered through out his barn, mill, and property creating a gold mine for filmmakers. 'Lenny' has been helping me make films and put on shows for the past few years by donating props and his time.

This was a fairly basic, performance-centric shoot with a few trippy and psychedelic twists thrown in. Most of the video was shot in the barn, including the main performance and green screen.

The green screen was used so that I could separate David, the lead singer, from the background. The idea was to foreshadow the latter half of the video by flashing different elements in the background, and ultimately, transport David to another realm.

The last part of the shoot was done in the dark at Lenny's Mill. It was quite challenging running the hundreds of feet of power cables, setting up the lights, and maintaining a proper bon fire while barely being able to see what was in front of us.

Huge thanks to Cara Hayes for helping produce this shoot, John Evin Groome  as camera operator, Josh Chambers for second camera and grip work, our actress Kim Stimeling, and of course, Jonathan Monument. Thanks for watching, and please check out some of my other work on this site!
